I am an Associate Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am also the Deputy Director of our Masters of Science in New Media program. I received my Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin and my B.A. in Communication from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. My research interests center on media effects, media psychology, and political communication. My work aims to bring insights into the use of emerging media and their impact on individuals and society in a high-choice media environment.

My current projects explore these areas: (1) Digital media and social capital, (2) selective/cross-cutting exposure and deliberation, and (3) news exposure, political knowledge and engagement.
