I am an Associate Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am also the Director of our Masters of Science in New Media program. My research interests center on media effects, media psychology, and political communication. My work aims to bring insights into the use of emerging media and their impact on individuals and society in a high-choice media environment.

My current projects explore these areas: (1) political disagreement and deliberation, (2) incivility and polarization, (3) algorithmic recommendation, curatorial behaviors and news engagement. My work has been published in the Journal of Communication, Communication Research, New Media & SocietyDigital JournalismInternational Journal of Press/Politics, and so on [my publications].
